- Responsible for the safe transport of customers and riders.
- Responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle, the patient transport devices, the lift, and the proper use of all other company equipment.
- Ensures ambulance and all equipment is cleaned and checked daily. Any deficiencies should be reported immediately to the shift supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Prepares and completes appropriate reports including documentation, billing, exposure reports, incident reports, daily, weekly and monthly unit check offs.
- Ensures unit and crewmembers adhere to Seals driver policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and standards. Reports any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Ensures vehicle placed in-service comply with required laws, rules license, and regulations as outlined by the state and other authorized agencies.
- Prompt and regular attendance at work and mandatory meetings.
- Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while in company uniform either on or off duty.
- Self motivated and requires little supervision and direction.
- Performs other such duties as may be required

- CPR or Basic Life Support Certification
- EVOC or equivalent certification
- Current Driver’s License from the employee’s state of residence
- Ability to read and interpret local maps.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand medical terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to write reports, and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding patient care, driver operations and other customer service issues.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize personal computer systems including documentation, email and MDT applications.
- Demonstrated ability to represent Seals and other team members as a professional.

Take your EMS career to the next level through our Paramedic Scholar Program. We’re offering current EMTs the chance to get paramedic certification for FREE with a flexible work schedule built around your studies. Plus, you’ll get paid for investing in your EMS education.
By advancing your certification level, you could earn 30-50% more than your current salary and open new opportunities for advancement in EMS, public safety and health care.
The Paramedic Scholar Program removes some key barriers to advancement. We’ll pay tuition, reimburse cost of materials and provide an additional stipend for your weekly classroom/study time.
