Seals Ambulance selected as first aid, emergency medical service provider for Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center

The Indiana State Fair Commission recently entered into an agreement with Seals Ambulance to provide emergency medical service and first aid to events at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, 1201 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205.

Seals Ambulance will provide medical service to more than 400 events each year. The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center has more than one million square feet of event space in 20 venues that host events of all kinds ranging from Indy Fuel home hockey games and IUPUI Jaguars basketball home games to agricultural events and presidential visits. Seals Ambulance will serve all events with the exception of the annual Indiana State Fair, which has a separate service contract.

An important part of that is making sure we are prepared to address any medical needs or emergencies. We have selected a partner in Seals Ambulance with the experience, skilled personnel and customer service training to ensure every attendee is safe and protected.”

Seals Ambulance began providing coverage to events beginning in January 2018 and through two options for extensions, will serve as the first aid and medical services provider through 2020.

Seals Ambulance will develop an emergency medical coverage plan during any time when facilities on the Fairgrounds are in use. Teams of EMTs and paramedics will be provided with a golf cart to quickly access any area of the 250-acre grounds. In case of emergencies, Seals Ambulance will provide on-scene medical care while coordinating ambulance transport with the City of Indianapolis.

Seals Ambulance has extensive experience in special event medical coverage. In addition to the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Seals Ambulance is the contracted provider for several large venues, including Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center and Indiana Grand Racing and Casino.
